Dave is a private guitar and bass instructor in Los Angeles with a roster of over forty students. He teaches all levels and ages, and all styles of guitar, including Classical, Rock, and Flamenco. His specialties include Classic Rock and Finger-Style solo guitar. Dave also teaches other stringed instruments, including, banjo, mandolin, ukulele and sitar, and he teaches vocal accompaniment, stage performance, song writing and reading. Dave performs live and records with certain students to give the "real life" live stage and performance experience. Students include actors and other in the music, film and television industry, including, Selena Gomez, David DeLouise (Wizards of Waverly Place), Rob Gossett (The Closer), David Hayter (Spiderman and X-Men), Nick Everson (House, Hellraiser), Mark Greenberg (producer of Entourage, Cougar Town) and Sydney Scotia (Some Assembly Required).
Dave is a graduate of the Musicians Institute. He studied guitar under luminaries such as Andres Segovia, Howard Roberts, Tommy Tedesco and Joe Pass.
Dave performed with bands such as The Wumblies, Davy Vomit and the Zipperheads, Hyde, Drug Opera, and Fem Zeppelin. He continues to perform live shows with his own bands.
